ABHYANGA
A full body massage with warm oil to suit your body type.
It is performed by two technicians. Abhyanga is a powerful way of
loosening toxins and relaxing mind and body.
It is specially beneficial before Shirodhara.

SHIRODHARA
The playing of a continuous stream of liquid on the forehead,
most usually warm sesame oil. It is a simple but profound technique
which relaxes the body, clears the mind and gives the spirit
the ability to be in touch with innermost feelings.

MARMA
Marma means secret, hidden or vital. Marma points are points on the surface
of the body where Prana or life energy collects and where consciousness
and the physical body meet. By gently massaging them it is possible to release toxins caused by the affect of mind or physical causes of stress.

PADAGATA
A deep and profound full body massage performed with feet,
hands and sometimes elbows! Releases long forgotten (deeply stored)
tensions bringing a sense of great relief and relaxation.

KARNA PURNA
Our senses are connected to the five elements. Hearing is connected
to air and space so it is a location where Vata collects. The treatment
is very effective in reducing movement (Vata) in the body. It is especially recommended for jaw and neck tensions, ringing in the ears, Vata headaches, itching and dryness in the ears. Each ear, in turn, is filled with
warm sesame oil and the neck, ears and jaw area are well massaged.

FACIAL MASSAGE ‘ Pick me up’
It is combining head Marma points with deep facial massage.
The jaw especially, carries a lot of tension and this short treatment
is very effective to release this area, giving relief to the whole body.
It may be added to the Marma treatment.

KATTI BASTI
The sacrum is bathed in warm oil, relaxing the entire spine.
Good for lower back pain.
It gives profound relaxation to the body and nervous system.

HEAD, HANDS & FEET MASSAGE
Always well received giving deep relaxation. The scalp, face, neck
and ears are gently nurtured, giving a sense of clarity and energy
to this region. It is preceded by a short spinal massage to help relax
the neck, which initiates a relaxation response throughout the
entire body. Massaging the feet helps to ground our energy.
Touching the soles of the feet stimulates, cleanses and balances
all the organs of the body. The hands, like the feet are full of
reflex points and massage is of great benefit. A delightful way to
experience some of the techniques offered by the centre.
An ideal introductory treatment for those new to Ayurveda.
